This Assembler role focuses on cleanroom assembly of delicate catheter devices used in neurological procedures to help prevent aneurysms. You work primarily under a microscope with small hand tools to assemble very small components such as coiled wire and tubing. The position requires strong attention to detail, excellent attendance, and the ability to perform repetitive, precision work for extended periods in a controlled cleanroom environment.

Responsibilities

• Perform cleanroom assembly of catheter components that are used in the brain to prevent aneurysms, following detailed work instructions and quality standards.
• Work under a microscope for the majority of the shift to handle and assemble very small parts with accuracy and consistency.
• Use small hand tools to coil wire, connect small tubing, and complete fine mechanical assembly tasks.
• Maintain high levels of quality and precision in all assemblies, ensuring products meet strict medical device standards.
• Follow cleanroom protocols, including proper gowning procedures and handling of materials to maintain a sterile environment.
• Adhere to strict attendance requirements, understanding that only one absence and one late arrival are allowed within the first 90 days.
• Participate in and successfully complete a hands-on assessment test to demonstrate proficiency with hand tools and fine assembly work.
• Work long hours as needed, including 10-hour days and up to 6 days per week, while maintaining focus and productivity.
• Communicate effectively with team members in the cleanroom, supporting a collaborative environment while keeping work quality high.
• Follow all safety guidelines and company policies related to equipment use, cleanroom behavior, and medical device manufacturing.

Essential Skills

• Ability to work under a microscope for extended periods of time with strong visual focus and attention to detail.
• Comfort and proficiency using small hand tools to assemble fine components.
• Capability to work long hours, including 10-hour shifts and up to 6 days per week, while maintaining accuracy and productivity.
• Strong attendance and reliability, meeting a policy that allows only one absence and one late arrival in the first 90 days.
• Willingness and ability to work in a cleanroom environment and follow strict gowning and cleanliness procedures.
• Ability to pass a hand tool assessment test required for the role.
• Entry-level candidates are acceptable, provided they can demonstrate the required fine motor skills and pass the assessment.
• Highly desired experience in a cleanroom or manufacturing environment.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Prior cleanroom assembly experience, especially with medical devices or other precision products, is strongly preferred.
• Previous manufacturing or production experience in a controlled environment is a plus.
• Experience working with microscopes and performing detailed visual inspection is beneficial.
• Ability to learn new procedures quickly and apply feedback to improve performance over time.
• Demonstrated consistency in quality, performance, and attendance to support potential transition to permanent employment.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Irvine, CA.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $19.00 - $21.00/hr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
