Maintenance Mechanic

We are seeking an experienced Maintenance Mechanic to support manufacturing operations by maintaining, troubleshooting, repairing, and improving plant equipment and facility systems. This role is responsible for ensuring production equipment operates safely and efficiently while supporting preventive maintenance initiatives and minimizing downtime. The ideal candidate has a strong background in industrial maintenance, mechanical and electrical troubleshooting, and automated manufacturing equipment.

Responsibilities include performing preventive and predictive maintenance on manufacturing equipment and facility systems, troubleshooting, diagnosing, and repairing electrical and mechanical equipment failures, repairing and rebuilding pumps, gearboxes, reducers, electric motors, conveyors, and drive systems, installing and repairing piping systems, fabricating and repairing machine components using welding, sheet metal, and machining equipment, reading and interpreting electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and mechanical drawings, troubleshooting and repairing AC/DC motors, motor controls, sensors, timers, switches, solenoids, and related electrical components, performing machine adjustments on filling, packaging, sealing, capping, and conveying equipment, troubleshooting barcode scanners and industrial inkjet printing systems, responding quickly to equipment breakdowns to minimize production downtime, maintaining maintenance records, inventory of spare parts, and repair documentation, supporting production teams and coordinating with outside contractors as needed, maintaining a clean, organized, and safe work environment, and ensuring compliance with all applicable safety and quality regulations, including FDA, GMP, USDA, and OSHA standards.

Required qualifications include a technical degree or equivalent technical training, minimum 2 years of industrial maintenance experience, experience working with robotics or automated manufacturing equipment, strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills, experience in a manufacturing environment (cleanroom experience is a plus), ability to read electrical schematics and mechanical drawings, experience using precision measuring tools and maintenance equipment, stable work history with demonstrated reliability, and willingness to work overtime, weekends, or alternate shifts as business needs require.

Preferred qualifications include experience in regulated manufacturing environments (FDA/GMP), experience supporting high-speed production, packaging, or filling equipment, strong problem-solving and root cause analysis skills.
