Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive perioperative nursing care across preoperative, intraoperative, and postoperative phases
- Assist surgeons and the anesthesia team, maintain sterile technique, and ensure patient safety throughout procedures
- Monitor patient status intraoperatively, manage equipment, document care, and coordinate with the OR team
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, and multidisciplinary staff; support patient teaching and discharge planning as appropriate
- Demonstrate leadership and prioritization; may assume charge nurse duties or serve as a preceptor for new staff
- On-call duties may be required with a 30-minute response time, per assignment protocol

Requirements
- Current New York State RN license
- Graduate of an accredited nursing program
- BLS certification required
- ACLS certification preferred
- Ability to work in an OR/ASU setting; strong knowledge of sterile technique and standard OR equipment
- Ability to recognize safety issues and respond appropriately; strong interpersonal and organizational skills
