Responsibilities
- Deliver direct patient care for progressive/step-down unit patients, including ongoing assessment, monitoring, and timely response to changing conditions.
- Administer prescribed medications and treatments; monitor for therapeutic and adverse effects; document care accurately.
- Collaborate with an interdisciplinary team to develop, implement, and adjust individualized care plans; involve patients and families in care decisions.
- Maintain safety and quality standards, adhere to infection control practices, and follow established policies and procedures.
- Uphold professional standards as defined by the Georgia Nurse Practice Act and the ANA Code of Ethics; participate in evidence-based practice and quality initiatives.
- Participate in discharge planning and patient education to support safe transitions and family engagement.

Requirements
- Active Georgia RN license
- Graduation from an accredited nursing program (ADN or BSN)
- PCU or critical care experience preferred; relevant acute care experience considered
- Ability to work nights and perform in a hospital PCU setting
- Strong communication skills and commitment to patient-centered care
- Willingness to comply with applicable state practice acts and professional standards
