Job Title Retail Pharmacist - Float Department Retail Rx | OSU Outpatient Pharmacy Dublin Scope/Position Summary This position functions to coordinate all aspects of patients' pharmaceutical needs in OSUMC outpatient and retail areas. medication order approval and distribution assurance of appropriate dose, route, frequency and duration of therapy patient medication profile review for drug-drug interactions, duplication of therapy, drug allergy interactions and appropriate regimens patient counseling disease state management coordination of patients' pharmaceutical needs with physicians and nurses must be able to demonstrate medication dosing and identify pharmaceutical needs relative to the disease process and age must be able to effectively communicate with patients, other health care professionals, and insurance companies responsible for supervising technicians, undergraduate and graduate student teaching, and providing educational programs for hospital/clinic staff (physicians, nurses and pharmacy staff) Minimum Qualifications Bachelor's Degree in Pharmacy Registered Pharmacist 0 years of relevant experience required 0-2 years of relevant experience preferred Additional Information Location: Ohio State Outpatient Care Dublin (1045) Position Type: Regular Scheduled Hours: 40 Shift: Varying Shifts Final candidates are subject to successful completion of a background check.
