PCU Travel Nursing Job Details Location: Fort Myers, Florida Position: PCU Travel Registered Nurse (RN) – Progressive Care Unit Specialty: Progressive Care Unit (PCU) Assignment Type: 13-week travel nursing assignment Start Date: December 4, 2026 Assignment End Date: March 6, 2027 Weekly Estimated Pay: $1,830–$1,920 Schedule: 3 shifts per week, 12-hour night shifts Guaranteed Hours: 36 hours per week Patient Ratio: Approximately 4:1 Openings: 2 Electronic Medical Record: Epic PCU Travel Nurse Job Requirements Active Registered Nurse (RN) license eligible for practice in Florida At least 2 years of recent progressive care or step-down nursing experience Recent Progressive Care Registered Nurse experience required Current BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications Epic EMR experience preferred Prior travel nursing experience preferred Ability to work night shifts and complete the full assignment Willingness to float to other units and affiliated locations as needed; travelers may be first to float Strong communication, teamwork, patient assessment, and critical-thinking skills Progressive Care RN Responsibilities Provide comprehensive nursing care to patients in progressive care and specialty progressive care units. Monitor patients with complex or changing conditions and promptly identify clinical deterioration. Administer medications and treatments safely while following established protocols. Perform ongoing patient assessments, collaborate with interdisciplinary teams, and communicate changes in patient status. Maintain accurate and timely documentation in the Epic electronic medical record. Support a collaborative 4:1 care environment while prioritizing patient safety and quality outcomes. Float to other appropriate units or affiliated locations when needed and provide care consistent with unit standards. Promote a respectful, team-oriented patient experience and function effectively as part of the core nursing team.
