As a Certified B Corporation, we are committed to sustainability, social impact, and building strong communities-starting with our people.Job SummaryWe're looking for an experienced Assistant Superintendent to join our team on a 4-month contract at one of our premier multifamily housing projects in Belmont, California.This is an excellent opportunity for a construction professional who is between long-term positions, recently completed a project, or simply enjoys bringing complex projects across the finish line. You'll step into an active, well-managed project during the final stages of construction and work alongside an experienced Superintendent and Project Manager to help deliver a successful turnover.If you have experience with multifamily apartment construction, enjoy solving field challenges, coordinating trades, and maintaining high standards of quality and safety, we'd love to talk with you.Key ResponsibilitiesSupport the Superintendent in daily field operations on an active multifamily project.Coordinate subcontractors and maintain production through the final phases of construction.Help manage punch lists, inspections, closeout activities, and turnover preparation.Monitor quality control and ensure work complies with plans, specifications, and company standards.Maintain a safe jobsite and enforce company safety expectations.Assist with short-term scheduling, trade coordination, and issue resolution.Work closely with the Project Manager, field team, inspectors, and subcontractors to keep the project moving toward completion.QualificationsExperience as an Assistant Superintendent or Superintendent on multifamily, podium, or apartment construction projects.Strong understanding of finish work, punch, inspections, and project closeout.Ability to coordinate multiple trades in an active construction environment.Excellent communication and organizational skills.Commitment to safety, quality, and schedule performance.Ability to hit the ground running with minimal onboarding.Physical RequirementsAbility to work on active construction sites (standing, walking, bending, lifting up to 60 lbs)Ability to work at a desk and computer for extended periodsWillingness to work overtime as neededCore SkillsConstruction Management, Assistant Superintendent, Assistant Project Manager, Multifamily Construction, Scheduling, Critical Path, Microsoft Project, Primavera, RFIs, Submittals, SWPPP, OSHA, Safety Compliance, Quality Control, Subcontractor Coordination, Construction Documents, Project Coordination, Budget TrackingWhy This Opportunity? Work on a high-profile multifamily project entering its most rewarding phase.Join an experienced, collaborative project team with immediate impact.Gain valuable experience with a respected Northern California multifamily builder.Ideal for professionals between projects who want to stay engaged on meaningful work.Competitive contract compensation for the right candidate.If you enjoy taking projects from the final stretch to successful completion, we'd like to hear from you.
