Bachelor's or Master's degree in Special Education, active Special Education Teacher license and minimum 1+ years Special Education Teacher experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

Qualifications:

• Active Maryland Certification as a Special Education Teacher
• Experience in providing individualized instruction and accommodations to students with diverse learning needs
• Strong organizational skills to manage and document IEPs, progress reports, and classroom activities
• Commitment to collaboration with general education staff, families, and support personnel
• Adaptability and compassion to encourage growth and foster a positive learning environment

Responsibilities:

• Deliver targeted instruction in a resource room for high school students, adapting lessons to meet unique needs
• Develop, implement, and monitor Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
• Assess student skills and track progress toward learning goals
• Communicate regularly with parents, guardians, and colleagues to support student success
• Participate in team meetings, professional development, and ongoing training sessions
• Maintain a safe, supportive classroom atmosphere conducive to student learning and engagement
• Uphold all district and state requirements concerning special education practices
