Associate Attorney - Workers' Compensation Defense Tigard, OR Monday–Friday | 8:00 AM–5:00 PM $115,000–$140,000 annually DOE + Monthly Billable Hour Bonus Full-Time | Direct Hire Our client is a well-established boutique workers' compensation defense law firm seeking an attorney looking to build or continue a career in workers' compensation defense while working alongside experienced attorneys in a supportive, team-oriented environment. The Associate Attorney will represent employers and insurance carriers in workers' compensation matters while supporting senior attorneys with case management, legal research, document preparation, and court appearances. The role offers hands‑on litigation experience, regular client interaction, and opportunities to develop expertise in Oregon workers' compensation law. Key Responsibilities Draft pleadings, motions, legal memoranda, and other litigation documents Prepare deposition summaries, hearing materials, and case files Attend hearings before Administrative Law Judges and proceedings before the Oregon Workers' Compensation Board Participate in client meetings, strategy discussions, and case conferences (both in person and via Zoom) Draft opinion letters, concurrence letters, settlement agreements, and client correspondence Conduct legal research and analyze case law and statutes Manage assigned caseload while maintaining deadlines and billable hour expectations Collaborate closely with attorneys, legal assistants, and support staff to ensure efficient case management Qualifications Licensed to practice law in Oregon Experience as a defense attorney Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast‑paced legal environment Workers' compensation, civil litigation, or personal injury defense experience preferred Paid vacation & sick leave 401(k) with match Medical and dental insurance (company pays 100% of employee premiums) Flexible Spending Account (FSA) Company‑paid life insurance Short-term and long-term disability insurance #J-18808-Ljbffr Specialized Recruiting Group
