Hours: 40-hour workweek  with some in-person office hours.

Salary: $65,000-$75,000 Based on Experience

Overview: Harvest Baptist Church is a congregation of believers, located in Salisbury, MD, deeply committed to the Word of God with a reformed leaning. The first and crucial quality we seek is a fidelity to God’s Word in its preaching and its application.  Our primary subset of requirements is that our pastor is Southern Baptist, agreeing with and adhering to the Baptist Faith and Mission 2000 and the historic faith, as summarized by, scripture alone, faith alone, grace alone, through Christ alone and to God alone be the glory. In our new pastor, we are seeking a shepherd to our congregation, a lead elder, a delegator for new ministries, and a champion of God’s message from the pulpit. Our church has a solid foundation, but we are looking for a pastor who is seeking to expand the ministries that are built upon it. We are looking for someone with a minimum of 2-5 years as pastor elsewhere, seminary degree preferred. Responsibilities:

• Provide biblical, expository preaching and teaching during worship services and other church functions.

• Lead and oversee the church’s ministries, ensuring they align with our core values of discipleship, spiritual formation, and evangelism.

• Engage in pastoral care responsibilities, including counseling, visitations, and prayer.

• Work collaboratively with church leaders to further the church’s vision and mission.

• Facilitate and strengthen community relationships, fostering an environment of spiritual growth and accountability.

• Lead and mentor church staff and volunteers in their spiritual and professional development.

Qualifications:

• 2-5 years of experience in pastoral or significant church leadership roles.

• Degree from an accredited seminary.

• Strong foundation in theology, as outlined in the Baptist Faith & Message 2000.

• Demonstrated ability to engage and inspire a diverse congregation.

• Commitment to church growth and healthy community relationships, both locally and internationally through missions.

Preferred:  Master’s of Divinity or equivalent experience in lieu of a Master’s degree
