Accounting ManagerPosition Summary

The AccountingManager is responsible for overseeing financial reporting, general accounting operations, and ensuring the accuracy and integrity of financial data. This role leads the month-end close process, manages audits and compliance, and supports strategic financial planning and treasury functions.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead month-end and year-end close processes, including journal entries, accruals, and financial statement preparation.
• Prepare and deliver accurate financial reports for leadership, board presentations, and external stakeholders.
• Perform and review balance sheet and bank reconciliations to ensure accuracy and completeness.
• Maintain and map general ledger accounts to consolidated financial statements.
• Coordinate external audits, tax filings, and financial reviews; prepare supporting documentation and collaborate with external auditors/CPA firms.
• Manage treasury functions, including cash forecasting, banking activity, and reporting.
• Support budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis.
• Oversee accounts payable and receivable processes to ensure proper coding, documentation, and timely processing.
• Ensure compliance with GAAP and assist with implementing new accounting standards.
• Support tax, insurance, and regulatory audits as needed.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; CPA preferred.
• 3-7+ years of accounting experience (public accounting background preferred).
• Strong knowledge of GAAP and financial reporting.
• Proficiency in Excel and accounting/ERP systems.
• Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
