Job Title: Occupational Therapist – Outpatient Rehabilitation
Location: Falmouth, MA
Type: Contract
Duration: 13 Weeks
Shift & Schedule: Day Shift | Monday–Friday | 8:00 AM – 4:00 PM | 40 Guaranteed Hours Per Week | Non-Rotating Schedule | No Weekends | No Holidays
Pay Rate: $55 - $68/hr (Based on Experience)

Position Overview:

Navitas Healthcare, LLC is seeking an Occupational Therapist – Outpatient Rehabilitation for an exciting Contract opportunity in Falmouth, MA.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate new patients and establish measurable functional goals.

• Develop individualized treatment plans based on patient needs and diagnoses.

• Administer diagnostic assessments to determine impairments and rehabilitation potential.

• Provide occupational therapy treatments and therapeutic interventions.

• Fabricate adaptive equipment and splints as needed.

• Modify treatment plans based on patient progress and outcomes.

• Educate patients and family members regarding therapeutic exercises and home programs.

• Document evaluations, treatments, patient progress, and caregiver communications accurately.

• Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and interdisciplinary healthcare teams.

• Assist with discharge planning and continuity of care.

• Maintain therapy equipment and monitor inventory of supplies.

• Supervise and provide guidance to Occupational Therapy Assistants, Aides, and students.

• Participate in quality improvement initiatives and departmental programs.

• Support orientation and training of new staff members.

• Maintain daily productivity and patient activity records.

• Attend educational programs, workshops, and professional development activities.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program required.

• Current Massachusetts Occupational Therapist License required.

• Current BLS Certification required.

• Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively in English.

• Experience evaluating and treating adult and pediatric patients.

• Strong clinical assessment and treatment planning skills.

• Knowledge of adaptive equipment and splint fabrication.

• Excellent documentation and communication skills.

• Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team.

• Strong patient and family education skills.

Preferred Qualifications

• Previous outpatient rehabilitation experience preferred.

• Experience working with both adult and pediatric populations preferred.

• Clinical Specialty Certification preferred.

• Experience supervising Occupational Therapy Assistants and students preferred.

• Strong knowledge of functional rehabilitation programs preferred.

• Documentation of Specialist Certification preferred for Clinical Specialist candidates.

• Ability to serve as a clinical resource, assist with program development, and provide advanced clinical expertise within designated specialty areas preferred.
