How you create impactThe right candidate will serve as a strategic business partner to leadership, driving profitability, growth, productivity, and process improvements.· Lead the US Controlling team and maintain strong alignment with Corporate Controlling.· Oversee timely and accurate month-end close, annual target-setting, and quarterly forecasting processes.· Manage investment reviews, business case development, cost‑saving initiatives, and new business evaluations.· Represent Finance in pricing and RFP processes, ensuring accurate costing, sound assumptions, and compliance with accounting standards.· Identify and mitigate financial risks through contract reviews, pricing oversight, and senior‑level discussions.· Monitor business performance, analyze P&Ls, perform gap analyses, and drive cost control and procurement support.· Champion standardization, continuous improvement, tool development, and employee development within Contract Logistics Controlling.· Ensure governance and full compliance with financial controlling policies through direct oversight of local analysts and support staff.What we would like you to bring· Bachelor’s degree in Finance or equivalent; Master’s preferred· 7–10 years of experience, including 5+ in Finance/Controlling (FP&A preferred)· 5+ years leading and managing teams· Experience presenting to senior leadership at national and corporate levels· Strong Contract Logistics operational and business knowledge· Proven leadership with strong personal drive and innovative thinking· Solid Controlling and Finance background· Organized, detail‑focused, hands‑on, and collaborative· Strategic thinker who turns complex analysis into clear insights· Skilled at detailed work and concise executive‑level summaries· Advanced Excel skills (pivot tables)· Strong analytical mindset and commercial acumen· Self‑starter with initiative and consistent follow‑through· Track record of leading, coaching, and developing teamsWhat's in it for youAt Kuehne+Nagel we strive daily to inspire, empower, and deliver not only to our customers, but also to our colleagues. Base salary is part of a competitive total rewards package that includes health and welfare benefits, a 401k retirement savings plan, tuition reimbursement, and incentive compensation for eligible roles. Individual pay may vary from the target range and is determined by a number of factors including experience, skills, job location, internal pay equity, and other relevant business considerations.
