Make an impact working as a School Psychologist supporting students from Pre-K through 8th grade in a vibrant school community near Vero Beach, FL. This contract opportunity runs from September 29, 2026, to June 1, 2027, offering you the chance to work on-site for 35 hours per week. As interviews are taking place immediately due to a late notice of opening, prompt applicants will be prioritized.
Your role will focus on providing essential psychological support and assessments, partnering with educators and families to help students thrive both academically and emotionally. The specific number of schools assigned and further caseload details will be shared as they become available.
To excel in this position, you should have:
- Valid Florida Department of Health School Psychologist License
- Experience with Pre-K through 8th grade populations
- Ability to manage multiple priorities, handle confidential information, and communicate effectively with students, staff, and parents
- Flexibility and adaptability to serve a dynamic caseload across one or more school campuses
- Willingness to complete required district fingerprinting (potential for AHCA Clearinghouse use if previously printed in FL) and in-person HR badging
Your key responsibilities will include:
- Administering psychological and educational assessments
- Supporting the development and implementation of intervention strategies
- Participating in multidisciplinary team meetings
- Consulting with teachers, families, and administrators
- Assisting with crisis intervention and behavioral support plans
