Senior Director, Global HEOR, Hemoglobinopathies

Vertex Pharmaceuticals seeks a Senior Director to lead Health Economics & Outcomes Research strategy for hemoglobinopathy assets across development and commercial phases in Boston. The role encompasses evidence generation, health technology appraisal support, and management of HEOR team members.
Responsibilities
- Lead HEOR strategy development for hemoglobinopathy disease area from early development through product lifecycle
- Oversee execution of evidence generation plans, outcomes research studies, cost-effectiveness analyses, and budget impact models
- Serve as HEOR lead coordinating cross-functional and cross-regional teams to align strategic plans with stakeholder needs
- Support health technology appraisal submissions and integration of HEOR evidence for relevant assets
- Manage HEOR staff and oversee design, execution, and dissemination of HEOR studies to highest quality standards
Requirements
- Advanced degree (PhD, MD, Master's, MPH, or PharmD) in relevant discipline
- 12 years health economics and outcomes research or directly-related pharmaceutical experience
- 5 years supervisory or management experience in HEOR or related field
- Published track record in peer-reviewed journals on patient outcomes and health economic modeling
- Market access experience with payer submissions and interactions (US and international)
- Strong verbal and written communication with presentation skills at senior levels
- Comprehensive understanding of pharmaceutical regulatory and legal environment
Compensation: $238,400 - $357,600 base
