LEGAL OFFICE MANAGER – Family Law Firm (In-Office | Norwalk, CA) The Gomez Law Firm, APC — a growing family law practice in Norwalk, California — is looking for an experienced, take-charge Legal Office Manager to lead our day-to-day operations. This is a high-impact, in-office leadership role at a firm on the rise. You'll shape how the office runs, mentor rising talent, and directly influence the client experience and the firm's bottom line. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: Oversee day-to-day legal office operations and administration — scheduling, file management, vendor coordination, and facilities. Keep client accounts current and trust funds (IOLTA) adequately funded, especially ahead of major upcoming work. Lead collections and accounts receivable efforts; personally resolve billing concerns with clients. Ensure trust accounting practices remain accurate and compliant with IOLTA and State Bar requirements. Balance workload across the team — confirm paralegals are fully engaged and associates aren't shouldering it all. Track deadlines proactively, ensuring assignments are completed well ahead of schedule. Handle client intake calls and PNC meetings as our Intake Coordinator point of contact — qualify leads and prepare them for attorney sign-up. Drive client conversion and onboarding to deliver a seamless first impression. Own hiring, recruiting, and HR functions for Norwalk staff, plus performance reviews and coaching for the non-attorney team. Build and lead a mentorship track to grow a support-staff member into a full family law paralegal. Prepare KPI reports and use data to drive continuous improvement. Champion the client experience — grow positive reviews and NPS over time. Manage vendor relationships and oversee billing and case management software, including Clio and QuickBooks (or comparable practice management/accounting tools). Contribute to special projects, including initiatives at our Wilshire office. QUALIFICATIONS 2+ years of law firm office management, legal administration, or HR experience; family law background strongly preferred. Working knowledge of family law procedures, with the ability to train and mentor a paralegal. Experience with client intake, sales conversations, and collections. Proficiency with Clio (case management software) and QuickBooks (billing software), or comparable practice management/accounting tools. Familiarity with trust accounting rules and IOLTA best practices. Proven track record hiring, supervising, and evaluating staff (HR generalist experience a plus). Bilingual in Spanish (Spanish-speaking) highly preferred, given our client base. Sharp organizational skills and the ability to juggle competing priorities under pressure. Strong written and verbal communication skills, with a detail-oriented, problem-solving mindset. Available to work on‑site full‑time at our Norwalk office. COMPENSATION & BENEFITS Base salary: $75,000 – $100,000 annually, depending on experience — pay transparency, no surprises. Performance-based client sign-up bonuses with strong earning potential.
