Concessions StaffType of Position: As program needs (evenings, some weekends) Hours may vary based on program needsReports To: Activities DirectorSupervision: NoneStipend: $4,569 - $5,753 (based on qualifications and experience)Qualifications: Required • High School Diploma or GED Preferred • Related work experience • Serv Safe Certification recommended • Computer knowledge sufficient to do on-line ordering/maintain recordsPosition Summary: Ensures all aspects of concessions are maintained by planning, ordering, stocking, preparing, serving, recording, managing and evaluating; provides cashiering, accounting and customer service functions in concessions stand; and provides supervision of all concessions personnel.Essential Duties:Pre-Event:Work with Activities Director in preparation of concessions menuPlan, order, stock, prepare and display productEstablish and implement procedural checklists pertinent to maintaining concessions equipment, supplies and facilitySecure concessions event start-up moneyVerify inventory of all equipment, supplies and productMaintain adequate product inventoryMonitor product expiration datesMaintain sanitary and secure work areaEvent:Supervise/direct Concessions HelpersAssist with replenishing food and operating equipment during concessions use timesServe and/or assists customersCalculate and collect cash sale of concessions itemsEnsure cash/money bags are secure throughout eventMaintain all food temperatures during eventsOperate/clean/maintain concessions equipment including cooking utensilsOperate/clean/maintain concessions area including coolers, counters, sinks, floorsMaintain a safe and clean environment in the concessions standMaintain sanitary and secure work areaPost-Event:Verify inventory of all equipment, supplies and productComplete daily (end of event) concessions recordsCompile daily (end of event) balance sheetsReconcile sales and cash receipts; investigate and resolve discrepanciesFacilitate daily (end of event) money depositOperate/clean/maintain concessions equipment including cooking utensilsOperate/clean/maintain concessions area including coolers, counters, sinks, floorsMaintain a safe and clean environment in the concessions standMaintain sanitary and secure work areaOther duties as assignedProfessional Responsibilities:Maintain accurate recordsCommunicate with students, co-workers, customersContribute to the school and districtShow professionalismKnowledge:Customer service principlesBasic food preparation techniquesBasic cashiering/computer skillsSkills:Basic computer useProviding customer serviceCommunication and interpersonal skills as applied to interaction with coworkers, supervisors, students, and customers sufficient to exchange or convey information and receive work directionPhysical Requirements:Frequent: Walking, standing, sitting, hearing, talking, and seeingLight Work: Lifting up to 25 lbs and/or exerting up to 20 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 10 pounds of force frequently, and/or negligible amount of force constantly to move objectsBenefits: We offer a comprehensive benefits package for employees working a minimum of 30 hours per week*.
