Director of Business Development

Role Description The Director of Business Development is a full-time, on-site role based in Costa Mesa, CA. This role identifies and qualifies new business opportunities, builds and manages a robust sales pipeline, and develops strong relationships with facility decision-makers and key stakeholders. Daily activities include conducting prospect outreach, leading product presentations and demos, preparing proposals, negotiating terms, and closing new subscription contracts. The Director of Business Development will collaborate with marketing and operations to refine messaging, align offerings with client needs, and ensure a smooth onboarding experience. The role also involves tracking performance metrics, providing feedback on market trends, and representing Rendara at industry events and client meetings. Qualifications Demonstrated experience in business development, B2B sales, or account management, preferably in technology, automation, facilities services, or related industries. Proven ability to build and manage a sales pipeline, from prospecting and lead generation through proposal development and contract negotiation. Strong communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts and value propositions clearly to non-technical audiences. Analytical and strategic thinking skills, including the ability to understand customer operations, identify pain points, and tailor solutions to meet business objectives. Comfort working on-site with clients, conducting facility walk-throughs, and coordinating with internal teams to ensure successful deployment and customer satisfaction. Self-directed work style with strong organization, time management, and follow-up skills in a fast-paced, growth-oriented environment. Proficiency with CRM tools and standard office productivity software; experience using data to track performance and inform sales strategies.
