Test Architect

Job Title
Translate business and architectural intents into clear use cases, test scenarios, and test cases. Partner with Product and Engineering during heavy grooming cycles to shape well-formed stories and AC. Drive defect triage and risk/impact assessments; document decisions and follow-ups.
Perform targeted manual testing and exploratory testing where needed; validate complex flows end-to-end. Collaborate with teams moving toward API test automation; advise on where automation adds ROI (hands-on automation experience is a plus, not a hard requirement). Operate day-to-day in Jira; uphold backlog hygiene, story quality, and reporting.
Partner effectively with Principal Engineers/Architects; accept and integrate feedback with resilience. Communicate status, risks, and quality posture with concise, executive-ready updates. Contribute to long-term vision while sequencing near-term, shippable quality milestones.
Senior QA leadership experience in large, complex programs (architecture-adjacent or within architecture teams). Demonstrated ability to craft and execute test strategies for enterprise, multi-system initiatives. Strong API and regression testing experience. Strong requirements/use-case/test-case authoring skills with impeccable clarity and traceability. Proven success partnering with Principal Engineers/Architects and multi-disciplinary teams (Product, Dev, QA). Jira fluency: story/AC quality, workflows, dashboards, and linkage for full lifecycle traceability. Comfortable being hands-on: execute targeted manual tests; roll up sleeves when the team needs it.
