Advanced Practiced Provider - Solid Organ Transplant
$137.32k - $201.96kSeattle Children's
Seattle Children’s is seeking a highly skilled Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to join our premier Transplant Center team. This is a dynamic, high-impact role managing pediatric solid organ transplant candidates, recipients, and living donors across the care continuum—including pre-transplant evaluation, waitlist management, acute inpatient care, perioperative stabilization, and long-term outpatient follow-up.
Key Responsibilities
Comprehensive Solid Organ Transplant Care: Provide expert, family-centered medical and surgical management for pediatric patients undergoing Kidney and Liver Transplants , spanning from infancy through young adulthood.
Pre-Transplant Evaluation & Waitlist Management: Conduct thorough pre-transplant evaluations, participate in multidisciplinary candidate selection committees, and oversee waitlisted patients across our 6-state WWAMI region (Washington, Wyoming, Alaska, Montana, Idaho, and Hawaii).
Immunosuppression & Infection Management: Design, titrate, and monitor complex anti-rejection regimens (including steroid-minimization protocols and novel immunosuppression strategies) while proactively managing post-transplant infectious disease risks, organ rejection episodes, and secondary complications.
Living Donor Program & Advanced Interventions: Partner with surgical and medical teams in our high-volume Living Donor Kidney and Liver Transplant Programs , utilizing advanced surgical techniques that expand access and shorten wait times for pediatric recipients.
Transplant Triage & Acute Access: Manage acute post-transplant and waitlist clinical triage, evaluating urgent concerns (e.g., graft dysfunction, fever/infection, medication toxicity, or acute rejection) to determine necessary protocol adjustments, outpatient evaluations, or immediate hospital admission.
Multidisciplinary Care Coordination & Transition: Collaborate seamlessly with pediatric transplant surgeons, subspeciality physicians (hepatologists, nephrologists, cardiologists, gastroenterologists), transplant nurse coordinators, social workers, dietitians, and pharmacology specialists. Facilitate long-term care transitions for adolescent and young adult transplant recipients.
Why Join Our Team?
Nationally Recognized Outcomes: Practice in a center boasting some of the best survival outcomes in the nation—including 100% 1-year patient survival rates for kidney and liver transplants , a 96% 1-year survival rate for heart transplants , and recognition as one of the top 5 pediatric kidney transplant programs by volume in the U.S.
Cutting-Edge Research & Innovation: Work alongside University of Washington faculty leading groundbreaking research in UNOS committees, high-tech medication adherence strategies, advanced organ preservation, and innovative clinical trials.
Magnet-Recognized System: Practice at the top of your license within a Magnet-recognized nursing organization and a nationally ranked pediatric subspecialty system.
