Overview VETERINARY Practice Manager Employment Type: Full-Time The posting will remain open for a minimum of two weeks from the position posted date. The pay range for this role is $60,631 - $87,578 annually. The specific rate will be based on the candidate’s experience, skill level, abilities, and education, and may vary by location and schedule. Summary of Job Purpose and Function In partnership with the chief of staff, the Practice Manager manages day-to-day operations so the medical team can focus on delivering high-quality veterinary care. You will drive business results and lead associates to foster an engaging team environment. You will ensure clients and patients have a positive experience and collaborate with stakeholders including the veterinary medical team, field leadership, corporate headquarters, and PetSmart associates (if applicable). The role supports growth for both the hospital and the broader organization and offers opportunities for professional development. Responsibilities Educate associates on Banfield guidelines and practices. Budget and plan for the hospital’s needs. Support daily operations and staff. Schedule associates, coordinate time off, and manage continuing education needs. Required Education/Licenses Bachelor’s degree in business or related discipline preferred, or the equivalent combination of education, training and experience that provides the required knowledge, skills and abilities. Required Experience Three years of related experience required (health care, veterinary profession, service industry, etc.), including direct supervisory experience (hiring, associate development, etc.). A Day in the Life of a Banfield Practice Manager About The Practice Manager role requires versatility. Duties include interviewing, hiring, developing associates, and evaluating hospital processes and productivity. Managers train associates to educate clients about Optimum Wellness Plans, preventive care, pet health needs, and hospital services. You will also be responsible for: Educating associates on Banfield guidelines/practices. Budgeting and planning for the hospital. Supporting daily operations and staff. Scheduling and coordinating time off and continuing education needs.
