Key Qualifications & Experience:

• Previous experience as a paraprofessional, teaching assistant, or in a similar school-based support role preferred
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills to connect authentically with students and staff
• Ability to follow lesson plans and reinforce instructional material under teacher guidance
• Patience, adaptability, and a genuine commitment to helping children of diverse backgrounds and abilities
• High school diploma or equivalent required; additional relevant coursework or certifications a plus
• Background check and other state-mandated clearances (required prior to start)

Primary Responsibilities:

• Assist teachers in classroom management and instructional support for individuals and small groups
• Foster an inclusive, encouraging classroom atmosphere to nurture student development
• Support students with assignments, activities, and positive behavior interventions throughout the school day
• Help implement Individualized Education Plans (IEPs) as directed
• Monitor student progress and collaborate with educators to address learning needs
• Supervise students in a variety of settings including the classroom, lunchroom, or playground
