This onsite assignment will provide immediate support to staff and students during a leave of absence, ensuring ongoing excellence in classroom learning environments.

Key Qualifications:

• Current Delaware Paraeducator Permit is required at the time of application (pending or in-process applications will not be considered)
• Experience working as a paraprofessional or in a similar educational support capacity, preferably in a high school or secondary classroom
• Ability to collaborate effectively with teachers and school staff to support instructional goals
• Willingness and ability to complete $85 CBC fingerprinting prior to assignment start (candidate responsibility)
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills with a patient, adaptable mindset
• If holding RBT certification, please note supervision is not provided and the role is classified strictly as paraprofessional

Responsibilities:

• Provide direct classroom support to teachers, assisting with instructional activities and supervision of students
• Help foster a positive, inclusive, and safe learning environment
• Implement teacher-directed accommodations and modifications for students as needed
• Assist with daily classroom routines and tasks, including record-keeping and behavior support
• Collaborate with school staff to ensure continuity of instruction during the leave of absence

Contract Details:

• Assignment available to start ASAP and expected to continue through September 21, 2026
• Monday-Friday, 35 hours per week with a 30-minute unpaid lunch break
• Must be able to work onsite
