Process Automation Manager

Job Description

This person will manage a group of Process Engineers and provides technical expertise and support for manufacturing plants. This role assists with the procurement and technical verification of molds and processes, establishes process parameters through Scientific molding practices, and optimizes all qualification work before releasing the molds into production.

Knowledge | Experience | Skills

1. 10+ years’ experience in Injection Molding, with solid knowledge of injection molding and manufacturing operations
\n
2. Good Project management and documentation skills
\n
3. Bilingual: English/Spanish preferred
\n
4. Computer Skills, Personal computer software: spreadsheet, word processing, and electronic mail systems
\n

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

1. Assist with mold design and qualification of new molds
\n
2. New product validation leadership across-functional teams
\n
3. Attend the weekly new projects meeting and assign resources to the projects for the group
\n
4. Support molding process decisions and facility infrastructure for new programs and current manufacturing lines
\n
5. Establish the process parameters for new programs and ensure the completion of the MAP documentation per procedure with the Global Operations Team. Lead team MAP reviews
\n
6. Ensure completion of D.O.E on all new molds as necessary with the Global operations Team
\n
7. Assist and promote manufacturing personnel with continuous improvement process when needed
\n
8. Ensures high level of quality within the group activities
\n
9. Assist projects by setting timelines/process milestones and ensuring those timelines are met
\n
10. Execute process development by utilizing all available resources and adjusting schedules as needed
\n
11. Review project/process feasibility before beginning projects
\n
12. Assist in the process of engineering initiatives and process optimizations with other internal groups
\n
13. Integrate process engineering lessons learned into new mold designs
\n
14. Be able to communicate and train the manufacturing engineering on processes for a clean hand off the project
\n

1. Assist with the organization of RJG training and other job specific technical training in combination with our strategy to develop our technical work force
\n

3. Assist with the harmonization of the process engineering documentation
\n
4. Attend the weekly new projects meeting and assign resources to the projects for the group
\n
5. Effectively manages direct reports as assigned, which could include but are not limited to process engineering
\n
