About the Role
The Company is seeking an Executive Director for Asset-Based Lending. The successful candidate will be responsible for originating, structuring, and closing asset-based lending opportunities, with a focus on external bank channels. This role requires a strong emphasis on risk management, open communication, and a commitment to driving a positive customer experience. The Executive Director will be accountable for new business production goals, and must have a proven track record in this area, as well as in risk assessment and mitigation. Essential duties include pitching, structuring, and executing ABL transactions, developing relationships with key prospects and referral sources, and leading a team of junior ABL bankers. The role also involves active participation in networking events and maintaining high visibility in the market. Candidates for the Executive Director position should have a minimum of 8 years' experience in asset-based lending or related financial services, with extensive knowledge of ABL products, market trends, and related financial structures. A formal commercial bank/ABL credit training is preferred. The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor's degree (MBA preferred) with a concentration in business, finance, or accounting, and possess strong interpersonal and relationship-building skills. The role demands a professional with demonstrable success in originating and executing complex financial transactions, and the ability to manage a pipeline of financing opportunities effectively. The Executive Director will also be responsible for the supervision and development of junior ABL professionals, providing them with performance feedback and opportunities for career growth.
