Athletics Facilities SpecialistReporting to the Director of Athletic Facilities and Event Management, the Athletic Facilities Specialist will perform maintenance and preparation functions on athletic fields, floors, and buildings. Union College sponsors 27 intercollegiate sports and are members of the National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA), the Eastern College Athletic Conference Hockey League (ECAC Hockey), and the Liberty League. Men's and women's ice hockey compete at the NCAA Division I level; all other sports compete at the NCAA Division III level.Supervisor: Director of Athletic Facilities and Event ManagementPay status and classification: Non-Exempt, regular full-time. This is a 12-month position. The College may assign additional related duties as necessary.Qualifications:Ability to handle multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.Ability to work a flexible schedule, including evenings and weekends is required.Ability to lift heavy items often in excess of 100 lbs., utilize team lift techniques, stand, bend and stoop for extended periods of time.Ability to foster and enhance a thriving, culturally diverse, and inclusive learning community, while promoting a sense of belonging among students, alumni, faculty, and staff colleaguesMust have knowledge of safe working habits/lifting techniques and an attention to detail/knowledge of moving practices.A valid New York State driver's license is required.Compensation:The rate for this position is $19.00 - $20.00 per hour. Except for roles with a set rate of pay, the wage/salary of the finalist selected for this role will be set based on a variety of factors, including but not limited to departmental budgets, qualifications, experience, education, licenses, specialty, and training.
