Make a meaningful impact this school year by supporting students with complex healthcare needs as a compassionate and skilled RN or LPN. This unique contract opportunity offers the chance to provide essential care during morning bus rides for a diverse group of students, ensuring their safety and well-being en route to school.

Responsibilities:

• Safely accompany students on their morning transport (approx. 7.5 hours per week – 6:15 a.m. pickup, return around 7:45 a.m.)
• Monitor and manage complex medical conditions, including chronic encephalopathy, Angelmann syndrome, Type 2 Diabetes, cerebral palsy, epilepsy, and more
• Provide as-needed interventions: seizure management (Valtoco PRN), G-tube care, oral suctioning, O2 saturation monitoring, medication, and emergency response for severe allergies
• Become familiar with individualized transportation care plans for each student
• Participate in orientation with the current nursing team and spend time at the school to meet students and learn their specific care requirements

Qualifications:

• Active Massachusetts LPN or RN license required
• A minimum of one year of hands-on nursing experience, preferably in pediatrics, special education, or school settings
• Confidence and skill in providing care for medically complex students with G-tubes, oxygen support, seizure disorders, and allergies
• Compassionate, patient, and comfortable working in a dynamic transport environment
