About the Role
The Company is seeking a Vice President, External Affairs and Strategic Communications. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and implementing strategic communication plans to enhance the organization's external presence and advance its mission. This role involves overseeing all aspects of external affairs, including media relations, public engagement, and the creation of compelling content to effectively convey the organization's message. The Vice President will also be tasked with building and maintaining relationships with key stakeholders, partners, and the community at large. Applicants for the Vice President, External Affairs and Strategic Communications position at the company should have a proven track record in a senior communication role, preferably within a mission-driven or non-profit environment. A deep understanding of strategic communication, public relations, and the ability to lead a team in these areas is essential. The role requires a visionary leader who can think creatively and strategically, and who is adept at managing multiple projects and priorities. A background in a relevant field such as communications, public policy, or social impact is highly valued, and a Bachelor's degree is typically required, with a Master's degree being a plus.
