Technologist Assistant

- Assist technologists with patient preparation and positioning for imaging procedures.
- Escort patients to and from exam rooms while ensuring comfort, dignity, and safety.
- Prepare and maintain examination rooms, ensuring supplies and equipment are stocked and ready for use.
- Clean and disinfect equipment and patient care areas according to infection control standards.
- Verify patient identification and assist with intake, screening, and documentation processes.
- Support workflow coordination by communicating with front office staff, technologists, and providers.
- Monitor patient flow and assist in reducing delays and improving operational efficiency.
- Transport patients, records, and supplies as needed throughout the department.
- Observe patients and report concerns or changes in condition to licensed staff promptly.
- Assist with clerical tasks including scanning, filing, data entry, and maintaining electronic medical records.
- Maintain patient confidentiality and comply with HIPAA and organizational policies.
- Follow all safety, quality assurance, and regulatory guidelines.
- Support the technologist with IV placement and patient preparation procedures.
- Perform additional duties as assigned to support departmental operations.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Basic computer skills and familiarity with office or healthcare systems.
- Ability to communicate effectively with patients, staff, and providers.
- Previous experience in healthcare, radiology, medical assisting, or customer service preferred
- IV experience preferred
- CPR/BLS certification
- Experience working in a fast-paced clinical or outpatient environment preferred
- Strong interpersonal and customer service skills with a patient-centered approach.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Knowledge of patient privacy standards and HIPAA compliance.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to maintain professionalism and confidentiality at all times.
- Ability to follow verbal and written instructions accurately.
- Basic understanding of infection prevention and workplace safety practices.
- Ability to collaborate effectively with technologists, physicians, nurses, and administrative staff.
- Proficiency with computers, electronic medical records, and standard office equipment.
- Physical ability to stand, walk, bend, and assist patients throughout the workday.
- Ability to lift or move equipment and assist patients as needed in accordance with safety guidelines.
