The Radiographer–Interventional provides imaging services for the diagnosis and treatment of inpatients and outpatients, performing vascular, neuro and spinal interventional imaging under the direction of a licensed practitioner. Responsibilities Perform vascular interventional, neuro interventional, and spine interventional imaging procedures. Evaluate requests for radiographic service and assess patients to determine appropriate protocol. Corroborate clinical history and document information for licensed practitioners. Prepare patients for procedures, providing instructions and minimizing anxiety. Operate imaging equipment and select appropriate programs. Position patients to best demonstrate the area of interest while respecting comfort. Use imaging systems and accessory devices to generate interventional images. Provide patient care throughout procedures, including lifting and transporting as needed. Evaluate images against industry standards and take corrective action if necessary. Educate patients verbally or in writing before, during, and after procedures. Perform imaging in accordance with safe radiation practices to limit exposure. Document procedures manually or electronically to ensure correct charging and tracking. Monitor supplies and reorder or rotate dated items to maintain availability. Report equipment failures or irregularities promptly to supervisors or quality control. Deliver high‑quality imaging services with optimal productivity and customer service. Collect data to support quality management measurements. Participate in process improvement and problem‑solving activities. Recommend corrective actions for potential improvements. Ensure continuity of care through effective communication with other departments (surgery, emergency, registration, nursing, etc.).
