Registered Nurse (RN) - Night Shift 3x12.0

This is a 13-week contract position.

Night shift, three 12-hour shifts per week.

The Registered Nurse (RN) is responsible for maintaining the delivery of quality care by ensuring the nursing care plan is followed. The RN supervises Licensed Practical Nurses, Certified Nursing Assistants, and orientees, while adhering to a focus on patient and employee safety.

Responsibilities

• Perform nursing assessments on all patients within 8 hours of admission to develop individualized care plans.
• Identify patient teaching needs and collaborate with patients/families and the Interdisciplinary team.
• Provide timely patient information and status updates for team conferences.
• Ensure accurate documentation of assessments, interventions, and patient responses in the medical record.
• Participate in the patient rehabilitation program, utilizing the nursing process for effective care.
• Initiate discharge planning and patient education from the day of admission.
• Communicate changes in patient status to ensure continuity of care.
• Supervise and train ancillary nursing personnel effectively.
• Promote a positive work environment and participate in team building activities.
• Assume charge responsibility as requested and maintain communication with management regarding service needs.
• Engage in professional development through continuing education and self-study.
• Perform additional duties as requested by management.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• BLS certification required prior to the first shift.
• ACLS certification required prior to the first shift (CIRH ONLY).
• Minimum of two (2) years of bedside clinical experience is required.
