IT Business Analyst III6 monthsOakland, CA(Hybrid-onsite whenever needed)Position Summary :The Business Analyst for Project Management will assist with maintaining project records for all in scope projects and orders. The Business Analyst will monitor actuals, forecast, and allocated budget to stay within targets and will track and report variances as needed. The Business Analyst will organize, track, and monitor the project records in the approved project management system and in the project central file repository and to support SOX compliance.The work location is flexible and must be located within the service territory. Training may occur in person periodically in the first few months of the position at a mutually agreeable location.Job Responsibilities:Work within the program/product team to ensure accurate forecasting against budget, tracking actuals to meet forecasting accuracy goals (?6.5% for a rolling 6-week lookahead)Use client's financial and project management systems to track project recordsCreate requests for projects, contracts, actions as needed to support project activities, then submit and track to completionAnalyze existing data and investigate/resolve identified discrepanciesPerform standard analysis and works with existing data modelsPull data to populate standard reports or to respond to audit or leadership requestsPresent data and findings to senior peers or internal clientsTrack existing metricsCommunicate with peers inside and outside of the department, providing information or exchanging dataParticipate in project teamsQualifications:Minimum:Bachelor of Arts / Science in accounting, business, finance, engineering OR equivalent work experienceFinancial management experienceDesired:Ability to learn client's business systems quicklyAbility to “juggle” multiple work items simultaneouslyBasic Microsoft Office knowledge (Outlook, Word, Excel) or equivalentBasic understanding of Power BIUnderstanding of project management processes and delivery methodsStrong organizational skillsStrong oral and written communication skillsStrong analytical skills, detail oriented and self-directedStrong interpersonal skillsStrong Time Management skillsApplicant Notices & DisclaimersFor information on benefits, equal opportunity employment, and location-specific applicant notices, click here
