Work Hours: Mon-Thu 5:30a-4:00p, 30 min lunch Additional Locations: Requisition ID: 27561What a day in the life of a Paint/Body at REV looks like:Responsible for prepping, sanding, buffing painted vehiclesTape and mask off nonpainted surfaces or parts around areas to be paintedSeal body seams with epoxy seam sealer and smooth properly for final paintGrind, and fill with properly mixed body filler and sand to finish, all welds, dents, and gouges in exterior panelsSand and shape body filler around transitions or body linesSpray primer on all areas where body filler was appliedWipe down all areas to be painted with grease and wax removerSand down painted surfaces to remove orange peel textureOperate a buffer and understand the steps required to buff paint to a proper finishWill may be required to climb on vehicles and be required to wear fall protectionMust keep the work area safe and clean to 6S standardsRequired education, skills, and experiences to be successful:Preferred 1-year experience in automotive paint prep and body repairPreferred high school diploma or GEDAbility to run dual action sanders, grinders, and miscellaneous hand toolsMust have full knowledge of quality requirements to produce acceptable finish paintAbility to communicate professionally and follow directionsAbility to work in a team environmentAbility to learn how to mix primers and other paint productsAbility to perform tasks within time standards and maintain quality standardsMust have general knowledge of OSHA and EPA standardsPhysical demands on this role:Frequent bending, stooping, squatting, and climbing up and down ladders and scaffoldingAbility to regularly lift and move 40 lbs. without assistanceAbility to work with arms above headAbility to work from ladders or scaffoldingAbility to operate and understand the operation of all protective safety equipment in the areaAbility to wear a dust mask and/or respiratorAbility to work in non-temperature-controlled environmentsAbility to work in 95 plus degrees temperatures for ten hours a dayAbility to stand at a workstation for ten hours a day (Minus specific breaks)What makes REV unique:Medical, dental and vision benefits start on day oneMilitary-friendly employerEducation ReimbursementCareer Development OpportunitiesOpportunities to relocate to other REV locationsTerex Corporation is committed to a policy of equal employment opportunity.
