Operations Supervisor- Commercial Insurance- Select Business Unit

Our partner is looking for a Operations Supervisor- Commercial Insurance- Select Business Unit based in United States. This role provides direct leadership and day-to-day operational oversight for a commercial insurance Account Management team. You will guide team performance, strengthen service quality, and ensure consistent execution of established processes and procedures. The position combines people leadership with hands-on account management and serves as a senior resource for complex client service needs. You will oversee workflow, performance data, policy administration, renewals, and new business activities while maintaining strong client relationships. The role also supports employee development, recruitment, onboarding, succession planning, and operational improvement. This is a full-time remote opportunity for professionals based in the Southeastern United States, with a focus on the General and Select Business book. Accountabilities: - Lead and coach Account Management staff, providing day-to-day direction, guidance, performance feedback, and support while promoting team engagement and a positive working culture. - Monitor productivity, efficiency, quality, service standards, and performance metrics, interpreting operational data and taking appropriate action to address opportunities or challenges. - Assign and balance workloads to maintain service continuity, operational efficiency, and consistent client support. - Implement, reinforce, and continuously improve operational processes, procedures, and best practices while ensuring compliance with applicable policies. - Support professional development, ongoing training, succession planning, and the development of future branch operations leaders. - Participate in recruitment, interviewing, onboarding, performance evaluations, and other people-management activities in accordance with established HR processes. - Manage an assigned book of commercial insurance business and serve as a senior-level resource for complex coverage, service, and client-related questions.

- Oversee policy administration, placement, billing, claims support, documentation, and data accuracy across agency and carrier systems. - Manage client relationships and support renewal and new business activities, helping ensure that processes are completed accurately and efficiently. - Deliver a high standard of client service by anticipating needs, resolving issues, and supporting ongoing account requirements. - Maintain accurate and reliable information across relevant systems and use performance data to improve operational outcomes. - Demonstrate integrity, leadership, and commitment to organizational values while collaborating with leadership and team members to strengthen engagement and service excellence. Requirements: - At least 5 years of industry experience, or 7+ years of experience in sales, marketing, or relationship management. - Thorough knowledge of commercial insurance brokerage operations and client needs. - Active insurance licensing is required. - Professional insurance designations are preferred. - Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities, with the judgment needed to manage complex operational and client-service situations. - Exceptional customer service and communication skills, with the ability to build effective relationships with clients, colleagues, and leadership. - Strong multitasking, organizational, prioritization, and workload-management skills. - Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, particularly Outlook, Word, and Excel. - High school diploma or equivalent required. - Demonstrated ability to coach and develop employees, communicate performance expectations clearly, and contribute to a collaborative team environment.
