Lucy- Civil/Mechanical Equipment Operator (Non driver)

Job Overview The Civil/Mechanical Equipment Operator will be responsible for safely and efficiently operating various heavy civil and mechanical equipment on construction sites, without the requirement of a driver's license for vehicle operation. This role is crucial for supporting construction activities by moving materials, excavating, grading, and performing other tasks as directed by site supervision. Job Responsibilities Operate a variety of heavy civil and mechanical equipment including, but not limited to, excavators, bulldozers, loaders, skid steers, forklifts, and other machinery as required. Perform pre‑operational checks and routine maintenance on equipment to ensure safe and efficient operation. Adhere to all safety protocols, company policies, and governmental regulations while operating equipment. Excavate, grade, backfill, and move materials according to project specifications and blueprints. Assist in the loading and unloading of materials and equipment on job sites. Communicate effectively with supervisors, team members, and other personnel on site. Identify and report any equipment malfunctions or safety hazards immediately. Maintain a clean and organized work area. Follow instructions and complete tasks as assigned by the supervisor. Job Qualifications Proven experience operating a variety of heavy civil and mechanical equipment. Demonstrated knowledge of equipment safety procedures and operational best practices. Ability to read and interpret basic blueprints, grade stakes, and other construction documents. Strong understanding of site safety regulations and the ability to work in a safety‑conscious manner. Physical stamina and the ability to perform strenuous tasks in various weather conditions. Excellent hand‑eye coordination and spatial awareness. Ability to work effectively as part of a team and follow directions. Willingness to work flexible hours, including overtime and weekends, as needed. Must be able to pass a pre‑employment drug screen and physical examination.
