Description

• Conduct thorough evaluations across pediatric, adult, and geriatric demographics utilizing both standardized assessments and observational approaches.
• Craft tailored treatment plans to address immediate goals and long-term communication or swallowing requirements.
• Deliver individualized speech therapy interventions that focus on various aspects including communication, language, fluency, voice, and swallowing.
• Collaborate effectively with a multidisciplinary team including physical therapists, nurses, physicians, caregivers, and families to ensure a holistic approach to patient care.
• Provide educational resources to patients and families to bolster their progress outside of therapy sessions.
• Participate in occasional inpatient assessments and therapy sessions to ensure seamless continuity of care.
• Document all evaluations and treatment plans meticulously in accordance with state, federal, and facility guidelines.
• Engage in continuous professional development by keeping up with the latest advances in the field through education and peer interaction.

Education

• A Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited institution.
• Successful completion of a Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) if not currently ASHA-certified.

Certifications

• State licensure as a Speech Language Pathologist.
• Preferred: Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) from ASHA.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification to be obtained within 30 days of employment.
