Qualifications and Desired Experience:

• Previous experience working as a Paraprofessional or Behavior Specialist
• Skilled in implementing behavior intervention strategies and supporting students with diverse needs
• Familiarity with Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) and educational accommodations
• Ability to collaborate with teachers, therapists, and other school staff
• Strong communication, patience, and organizational skills
• High school diploma or equivalent required; additional coursework in special education or behavioral health is preferred

Key Responsibilities:

• Support classroom instruction and provide individualized assistance to students as directed by licensed staff
• Assist in implementing behavior intervention plans and social-emotional learning strategies
• Monitor and document student progress, behaviors, and interventions
• Work 1:1 or in small groups, adapting interventions to meet students’ needs
• Foster a respectful and nurturing environment that encourages student participation
• Supervise students during transitions, lunch, and recess as assigned
