The Facilities & Events Support Staff plays a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of our campus by stepping in wherever needed. This role is all about flexibility, teamwork, and readiness to jump in when priorities shift.

Lakeside Chautauqua is a family destination that has pioneered the act of nurturing the mind, body and spirit for over 150 years. Conveniently located between Toledo and Cleveland on Lake Erie's south shore, Lakeside offers a robust summer programming season packed with cultural, educational, spiritual and recreational opportunities.

Key responsibilities include supporting seasonal operations, performing light construction, repair, painting, and quick-turn maintenance projects, assisting with setup and teardown for year-round programs and special events, operating small tools and equipment safely and efficiently, and responding to real-time operational needs.

Requirements include the ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work outdoors in all weather conditions, willingness to work flexible shifts, including weekends, early mornings, or evenings as required, dependable, solutions-oriented, and comfortable working independently or as part of a rotating team, and basic knowledge of tools, machinery, or grounds equipment.

The position is seasonal and requires the ability to work varying shifts, including nontraditional hours based on programming and event needs. Employees are eligible for a season pass provided they work a minimum of 24 hours per week during the season.

The role demands language skills, reasoning ability, physical demands, and a work environment that includes exposure to wet, cold, humid, hot, and very hot conditions, requiring work outdoors.
