Human Resources GeneralistConstruction Company is seeking a Senior Human Resources Generalist to help drive HR functions and promote a dynamic corporate culture. This role is responsible for recruitment and sourcing, talent development, performance programs, compensation, policy compliance, employee relations, and communications.Job DescriptionResponsibilities:Support recruitment efforts with a focus on bringing in diverse talent.Ensure compliance with applicable employment laws through appropriate program and process management, as well as ad hoc situation analysis and subsequent plans of actionsIn partnership with the Senior HR Manager, implement strategies and talent development programs that increase employee engagement and retentionIdentify and champion human resources process improvement initiativesDeliver timely, high quality and impactful employee communicationsIdentify employee issues; recommend cost effective solutionsQualificationsExperience and Education Requirements:5+ years of exempt level Human Resources proficiencyDemonstrated aptitude to recruit in a low cost fashion; can effectively use online recruitment toolsCompetent to work on tasks where limited written procedures and protocols existProven ability to deal with conflict and diffuse difficult situationsProven ability to influence and work effectively across all levels of the organizationDemonstrates discretion, able to work with sensitive and confidential materials and possess good business judgmentCustomer service orientedGeneral knowledge of employment law (such as the ADA, EEO, ERISA, FLSA, FMLA, NRLA, & Title VII) and ability to apply legal concepts to real world situationsStrong critical thinking skills with demonstrated ability to pull complex data from assorted sources and synthesis in both graphic and verbal formatHighly organized with strong attention to detail, while also able to manage multiple prioritiesAdvanced level skills with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word & PowerPoint)Excellent written and verbal communication skillsBS degree in Human Resource Management, Business Management or an applicable fieldMaster's degree in Labor Relations, Human Resources or Business is highly desirable.Bachelor's degree with 3-8+ years' experience or Master degree with 2-4 years' experienceAdditional InformationAll your information will be kept confidential according to EEO guidelines.
