Job Details Job Location: Smalley LZ – Lake Zurich, IL 600476004 Position Type: Full Time Salary Range: $23.10 – $24.15 hourly Job Shift: 3rd shift Job Category: Other Benefits Competitive compensation and benefits package (Medical, Dental, Vision, 401(k) match, Life insurance, Tuition Reimbursement, PTO, and more) Opportunities for career advancement and professional growth Ongoing learning and training and development opportunities Company and department led team-building activities and events You may be eligible for the following competitive benefits: medical, dental, vision, life, accident & disability, parental leave, tuition reimbursement, employee assistance program, paid holidays, paid time off and 401(k) Responsibilities Set up and operate 2 small flat wire machines Load wire efficiently and safely using appropriate tools Operate all testing equipment including micrometers, hardness testers, shadowgraphs, etc. Complete all data entry transactions in computer for wire data and labeling; inspect wire quality throughout each step of the set up process Report problems that arise with machines, materials, jobs, or team members and offer solutions within the scope of duties Prepare raw material for production with high quality and within tolerances Provide complete, accurate documentation when required Participate in cross-departmental work production based on business needs; learn and uphold defined quality standards to ensure maximum customer satisfaction and optimize work efficiency Qualifications Experience working in a manufacturing or related environment Mechanical experience including operation of high-speed automatic and semi-automatic equipment Set up and adjustment of metal forming processes (stamping, forming, shearing) preferred Experience troubleshooting production equipment and ability to identify machine problems preferred Experience measuring parts with precision instruments including micrometers, digital calipers, load testers, etc. Pass required exam of basic math and English EEO Statement Smalley is an equal opportunity employer and believes in equal opportunity for all employees and applicants.
