Job Overview

We are seeking an experienced Robotic Maintenance Technician to maintain, troubleshoot, and repair industrial robots, automated production systems, and auxiliary manufacturing equipment.

The ideal candidate has a strong mechanical background, practical experience maintaining manufacturing equipment, and a willingness to develop advanced robotic-system skills. This position plays an essential role in minimizing equipment downtime, supporting preventive maintenance programs, and ensuring machinery consistently produces quality parts.

Key Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair industrial robots, automated systems, and auxiliary equipment.
• Adjust robot programs, fixtures, controllers, and related equipment as needed.
• Install, program, maintain, and repair robot controllers, end-of-arm tooling, conveyors, and peripheral equipment.
• Diagnose problems involving programmable controllers, electronics, mechanical systems, sensors, feedback systems, hydraulics, and pneumatics.
• Replace defective components, including circuit boards, sensors, controllers, encoders, servomotors, and wiring.
• Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on robotic systems and manufacturing equipment.
• Disassemble, repair, replace, and reassemble defective machine components.
• Align, fit, and assemble parts using hand tools, power tools, fixtures, and templates.
• Connect wiring between controllers and other automated equipment.
• Inspect and test machinery to identify malfunctions or performance issues.
• Interpret equipment manuals, electrical or mechanical documentation, and machine operating instructions.
• Listen for unusual sounds and observe equipment operation to identify potential problems.
• Clean and lubricate shafts, bearings, gears, and other machinery components.
• Maintain accurate service and maintenance records for robotic equipment and automated production systems.
• Monitor and maintain inventories of essential production supplies, including sensors, cables, and replacement components.
• Maintain equipment to support product quality, production efficiency, and workplace safety.
• Respond to emergency equipment breakdowns and call-backs as needed.
• Assist with additional maintenance duties assigned by a supervisor or manager.

Education and Experience

• High school diploma, GED, or an equivalent combination of education and relevant experience.
• Three to four years of mechanical or industrial maintenance experience.
• Experience working with manufacturing machinery and production equipment.
• Willingness and ability to train on robotic systems.

Required Skills and Qualifications

• Ability to troubleshoot mechanical and automated manufacturing equipment.
• Ability to read blueprints, diagrams, safety rules, operating instructions, and maintenance manuals.
• Proficiency with hand tools, power tools, and mechanical testing equipment.
• Basic computer skills.
• Basic mathematical skills.
• Ability to write routine maintenance reports and correspondence.
• Strong problem-solving and mechanical reasoning abilities.
• Ability to follow written, verbal, and diagram-based instructions.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively with production and maintenance personnel.
• Ability to work a flexible schedule and respond to emergency breakdowns when required.
• Must possess the tools required to perform routine job duties.

Work Environment

This position is primarily performed in an active manufacturing environment. Employees may be exposed to:
