Description

• Craft individualized treatment plans that address immediate objectives and long-range communication, cognitive, or swallowing needs.
• Deliver focused speech therapy sessions targeting communication, language, fluency, voice, and swallowing capabilities.
• Collaborate seamlessly with physical and occupational therapists, nursing staff, physicians, families, and caregivers to build comprehensive care plans.
• Provide education to patients and their families that promotes progression beyond therapy sessions.
• Assist with occasional inpatient evaluations and interventions in speech therapy, ensuring a smooth continuum of care.
• Maintain precise documentation in accordance with state, federal, and organizational mandates.
• Engage in ongoing education and peer networking to stay at the forefront of the field.

Education

• Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited institution.
• Completion of a supervised Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) if not yet ASHA-certified.

Certifications

• State licensure as a Speech Language Pathologist .
• Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) from ASHA preferred.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification to be obtained within 30 days of hire.
