Step into a dynamic school-based occupational therapy role supporting K-8th grade students across 2 to 4 sites. As a key member of a dedicated team, you’ll make a meaningful impact by collaborating with educators, helping students reach developmental milestones, and working closely with a supportive COTA. This contract position follows a trimester schedule, providing flexibility as you work August through November, November through January, and January through the end of the school year. Enjoy a consistent weekday schedule, Monday through Friday, from 7:30 am to 4:30 pm.

Required Qualifications & Experience:

• Active Occupational Therapist (OT) licensure in California
• Prior experience in school-based OT settings preferred
• Familiarity with K-8th student populations
• Proficiency in writing IEPs, documenting progress, and managing caseloads of 55-60 students
• Strong communication and collaboration skills for IEP meetings and interdisciplinary coordination
• Ability to travel between multiple school sites as needed

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement individualized occupational therapy interventions for students
• Write and update IEPs; document progress and collaborate with educational teams
• Attend IEP meetings, contributing thoughtful insights and professional expertise
• Participate in school events and site activities to support student engagement
• Supervise and collaborate with a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA)
• Adapt interventions and strategies to meet diverse student needs across sites
