Head Nurse - Critical Care (Surgical ICU)

About This Role The Head Nurse-Critical Care position involves directing the development, implementation, and evaluation of nursing regimens for patients in the MED/SURG INTENSIVE CARE unit. This role is ideal for experienced nurses looking to lead and enhance patient care in a dynamic environment. Highlights Pay: $112,776/year Location: Manhattan, NY Facility: Bellevue Department/Unit: MED/SURG INTENSIVE CARE 10WN Schedule: Full-Time, Day (7:00 A.M – 5:30 P.M) What You'll Do Direct the development, implementation, and evaluation of nursing regimens for patients. Identify and discriminate between physical and psycho-social signs and symptoms. Develop, implement, and continuously evaluate nursing regimens for assigned patients. Record and maintain nursing care plans and progress notes for continuity of care. Interpret and report patient responses to appropriate health team members. Participate with interdisciplinary health team members to plan comprehensive patient care. Provide teaching, guidance, and direction to allied nursing personnel. Participate in defining and maintaining standards of nursing practice. Conduct conferences to develop nursing care plans and promote staff development. Maintain professional competence through continuing education and learning experiences. Requirements Licenses & Certifications: A valid New York State license and current registration to practice as a Registered Professional Nurse in New York State. Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) through the American Heart Association (AHA) required. Experience: One (1) year of experience as a registered nurse.
