In this role, you'll lead a high-performing accounting team, shape revenue cycle strategy, and directly support a mission that saves lives every day. Key responsibilities Lead all accounting operations including GL, AP/AR, payroll, fixed assets, and month-end close Oversee end-to-end revenue cycle management (RCM) for Air, Rotor, and Ground transport billing Manage high-level AR functions including aging analysis, collections strategy, and payer reconciliation Prepare financial statements, variance analyses, and management dashboards for executive leadership and the Board Monitor payer performance, denials, AR aging, DSO, and reimbursement trends Partner with dispatch and clinical teams to validate charges, flight logs, and medical necessity Support annual budgeting, rolling forecasts, rate modeling, and strategic planning Coordinate with external auditors, tax preparers, and regulatory bodies — serving as the primary audit liaison Interface directly with upper management and executive leadership as a trusted financial partner Lead, mentor, and develop the accounting team The perks Competitive pay Paid holidays Paid time off (PTO) 401K retirement plan & employer match Health insurance (Medical/Dental/Vision) Basic term life insurance Short- & long-term disability insurance Employee assistance program Bi-weekly payroll Clear path to advancement into a senior leadership role within 2–3 years Leadership development opportunities with support for your growth and career progression A dynamic and collaborative environment where your contributions are recognized and celebrated You need Bachelor's degree in Accounting required; Finance or related field considered CPA preferred Extensive audit experience — internal and/or external Strong GAAP knowledge and financial reporting experience Healthcare, EMS, or air ambulance revenue cycle management experience — required Medical collections experience strongly preferred Executive presence with demonstrated ability to work with and influence senior leadership Experience with Sage, Oracle, or similar ERP/accounting platforms Advanced Excel and financial modeling skills Experience with transport billing platforms (e.g., Image Trend, Zoll, ESO, Flight Vector) a plus Knowledge of Medicare, Medicaid, commercial insurance, and air ambulance billing rules preferred Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills Proven ability to lead a team and collaborate across departments Genuine commitment to long-term growth within the organization #J-18808-Ljbffr
