Lawyer for AI Training

$80 - $180 per hour

Apply your legal expertise to review and draft legal documents while helping improve next-generation AI systems through high-quality, real-world legal analysis. This remote contractor role focuses on sample and template materials, with no prior AI experience required. Role Overview

You will analyze contracts and other legal documents, assess legal risk, and communicate practical findings in clear language for non-lawyer audiences. All materials are public or synthetic, so no confidential or proprietary client information is used.

Key Responsibilities

Review sample or template contracts and other legal documents for clarity, enforceability, and risk.
Identify, analyze, and flag risky or problematic clauses, providing detailed written commentary.
Draft concise memos outlining findings, key risk areas, and recommended improvements for each reviewed document.
Conduct basic legal research using public sources to support document analysis and recommendations.
Explain complex legal concepts clearly and accessibly for non-lawyer audiences.
Follow confidentiality and conflict-of-interest protocols while working exclusively with public or synthetic data.

Qualifications

Juris Doctor degree and active or lapsed bar membership in any U.S. jurisdiction.
At least 4 years of legal practice experience, with a strong emphasis on document-heavy work such as contracts, compliance, or transactions.
Demonstrated experience drafting and reviewing contracts and assessing legal risk.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Meticulous attention to detail and a methodical approach to legal analysis.
A demonstrated commitment to confidentiality and careful conflict-of-interest management.
Experience with, or interest in, technology, AI, or legal operations is a plus.

Work Terms

Remote independent contractor engagement.

Compensation

$80 to $180 per hour.
