About the Role
The firm is seeking an experienced Matrimonial Paralegal to join its team in Livingston, NJ. The ideal candidate brings a minimum of three years of matrimonial paralegal experience and is ready to provide substantive support to attorneys across active matters. This is a hands-on role for a professional who takes initiative, communicates with confidence, and is invested in the quality of their work product.
Responsibilities
- Prepare and process legal documents including summonses, subpoenas, complaints, motions, appeals, and pretrial agreements.
- Manage and maintain client files in an organized and consistent manner.
- Maintain attorney calendars, track case deadlines, court appearances, and filing requirements.
- Handle court filings including electronic filings across relevant court systems.
- Coordinate client communications, attorney meetings, depositions, and other case-related scheduling.
- Draft correspondence and other documents on behalf of attorneys.
- Prepare trial binders, charts, exhibits, and other materials in support of case preparation.
- Communicate professionally with clients, opposing counsel, court personnel, and expert witnesses.
- Maintain confidentiality of all attorney-client information.
Qualifications
- Minimum of three years matrimonial experience required.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, Adobe Acrobat, NetDocuments, and Centerbase
- Familiarity with New Jersey court e-filing systems and related applications
- Flexibility to work overtime.
- Ability to multi-task.
- Professional appearance and demeanor.
Schedule
9:00 A.M. to 5:00 P.M. (1 hour lunch), with overtime as required.
