Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Medical Surgical Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 12 hours Experience: Minimum one year in medical/surgical nursing License: Active RN license required Certifications: BLS Must-Have: - Epic charting experience - Charge experience preferred - Proficient in Med/Surg care with experience in Rapid Response/Code teams - Skilled in peripheral line care/management, nasal cannula, non-invasive airway management, oxygen administration, and isolation precautions Description: The position is for a Registered Nurse in a medical surgical setting. Candidates will work night shifts on a 3x12 schedule. Charting experience with Epic is a requirement. There may be a weekend work requirement, with possible obligations for time off requests. The facility allows call-offs at specified intervals. Holidays require work as part of the contract. First-time travelers and local candidates are accepted, subject to criteria. Charge experience and the ability to precept are preferred. The unit has a patient ratio of 1:6, focusing on acute care for adults. Patient diagnoses include elective back surgeries, trauma, prostate cancer, gallbladders, and cellulitis. The nursing staff will work closely with interdisciplinary teams, including IV teams, physical therapy, respiratory services, and pharmacy. Travelers should be compliant with necessary documentation and requirements. Please submit all time-off requests upfront with applications.
