Job Full Description We have an opening for a Laser Operator position working at a contract manufacturing facility located in Decatur, AL . This is an evaluation-to-hire opportunity with potential for full-time placement. Skills/Qualifications Must be able to read and interpret drawings, follow routers and use simple math to perform basic calculations. Ability to work with chemicals, solvents, and lubricants. Must have a working command of the English language, and be able to communicate orally and in writing. Duties/Responsibilities Responsible for the setup and operation of a CNC laser to cut parts from various sizes of steel sheets. Load steel sheets onto work table, set-up and align the laser, and select proper cutting programs. Visually and dimensionally inspect produced parts. Update computer records and paperwork in accordance with production requirements. Perform necessary troubleshooting, maintenance and preventative maintenance of the laser per company procedures. Comply with all quality policies, specifications, regulations and instructions. Maintain work area to keep it in a clean, orderly condition and follow prescribed safety procedures.
