• Long-term coverage through July 2027
• 24-hour in-house call blocks
• Seven-day stretches preferred; shorter blocks considered
• Approximately 600 annual deliveries
• Multiple physicians may be considered
Assignment Details
• Start Date: ASAP following credentialing
• End Date: July 1, 2027
• Shift: 24-hour in-house call, 6:00 AM Äì6:00 AM
• Preferred Commitment: Seven consecutive days or longer
• Shorter Blocks: Considered
• Setting: Inpatient OB/GYN
• Average Volume: Approximately 6 Äì7 patients per shift
• Annual Deliveries: Approximately 600
• Call Ratio: Approximately 1:2
• Unit Size: 18 beds
• EMR: Epic
• Credentialing: Approximately 90 days
Requirements
• Board-Certified OB/GYN
• Active Missouri medical license or active IMLC LOQ
• Current ACLS, ATLS, and BLS
• Low- and high-risk Obstetrics experience
• Current cesarean-section and operative Gynecology competency
• Fetal heart-rate interpretation proficiency
• Ability to provide 24-hour in-house coverage
Clinical Details
• Provide primarily solo OB/GYN emergency and delivery coverage
• Manage low- and high-risk pregnancies
• Attend vaginal and complicated deliveries
• Perform cesarean sections
• Manage multiple births and placental abruptions
• Perform major operative Gynecology, including ectopic pregnancy, oophorectomy, and cystectomy
• VBAC management and third- or fourth-degree laceration repair preferred
• Obstetric ultrasound experience preferred
• Work with 24/7 CRNA and respiratory-therapy coverage
• Additional support includes surgical first assist, L&D nurses, NICU nurses, and an OB technician
• Midwife backup is available as scheduled
